Women In Faith

Here at Sunny Side UMC, we have an awesome group of ladies that meets the second Saturday of each month at 9:30AM in our Education Building. We are a group of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ. We are very mission-minded, both locally and abroad.

Our UMW has adopted “The Little Free Library” located the Sunny Side City Hall. We always need new or gently used children’s books. Please join us in this great local mission!

We encourage and invite all ladies to join us for Christian fellowship and service.

United Methodist Men

“Faith that doesn’t lead us to do good deeds is all alone and dead!” — James 2:17
The United Methodist Men seek to be actively involved in the well being of the church and surrounding communities. Every Christmas, members assist with supplying and distributing turkey dinners to area families in need. The UMM’s annual chicken leg quarter sale brings in mission funds for the church, while also supplying families with very inexpensive food. The sale has been going on for over 15 years and has helped thousands of people afford a low cost food source. The men also assist in the upkeep of the church buildings.

Most importantly, the group’s meetings and activities help to create a strong spirit of fellowship and purpose in serving our Lord. Meetings are held on the third Thursday of every month at 6PM.

Please join us for dinner and fellowship!

Prayer Team

Life can be challenging and overwhelming at times, and Sunny Side’s Prayer Team would like to lend the support you may need. The Prayer Chain is a calling tree, utilized to summon the Team members to a time of personal prayer for you. If you or someone you know has an immediate prayer need such as a serious illness, hospitalization, or challenging life circumstances and would like the Prayer Chain activated, we welcome a call at the church to discuss. Call 770.228.8243 and if no answer, please leave a message and your phone number. You will receive a response as your prayer concern is important to us.
